Health & Wellness

Being healthy is all about lifestyle choices. It comes down to nutrition, exercise, and recovery of both body and mind. Yes, age and genetics play a key role, but health issues can still be prevented, delayed, and in some cases reversed. The level of commitment you put in will determine your rewards, and there are NO quick fixes.  You may find sacrificing certain indulgences may be difficult (especially at first), but living healthier will help you feel physically better, and improve your overall mood and state of mind.  US National Library of Medicine quotes that poor diet and nutrient deficiencies can lead to depression and other mental illness.  With proper dedication you can be rewarded with a long, healthy, happy life.

Everything starts with a healthy diet. So the first question is, what diet is right for you?

For detailed eating guidelines, I recommend starting with “Nutritional Typing“, by Dr. Joseph Mercola.  First, watch the introductory video and subscribe to his email newsletter.  I personally love it;  it’s extremely informative!  Then, the program will ask some basic food eating questions to help you figure out which foods to eat, which to avoid, and the proper macronutrient ratios for you.  It comes FREE with a huge recipe book and tons of information on healthy food choices.  It’s the perfect starting point for anyone!  Find out your nutritional type here.

If you’re trying to lose weight, then you probably want to be on a low-carbohydrate diet.  Cutting carbs is the best way to force your body into using stored fat.   It’s also a great aid in the prevention of many diseases.   My Healthy Lifestyle Program is an excellent quick start guide for this and more!

If you want to know more of the science behind my dietary recommendations, check out “Nutritional Ketosis for Longevity“, it’s all about Ketosis, and its’ well studied health benefits including weight loss, anti-aging, athletic performance enhancement, and disease prevention and treatment.
